What documents are required for admission?

Passport, school certificate/diploma with transcript, English test (IELTS/TOEFL), motivation letter. Most universities also require 2 recommendation letters, a CV and sometimes GMAT/GRE scores.

Do I need to take entrance exams?

In many Dubai universities there are no classic entrance exams. Usually they assess your school grades, English test (IELTS/TOEFL), and for some programs — tests in mathematics/logic, a creative portfolio review or an interview.

When do students submit applications?

Main intakes: fall (September) and spring (January/February). Many programs also have rolling admission – applications are reviewed as they are received until places are filled.

How much does it cost to study at universities in Dubai?

On average, bachelor's programs cost about 10,000–25,000 USD per year, and master's programs 13,000–30,000 USD per year. The final cost depends on the university and program; additionally you need to budget for registration fees, insurance and study materials.

What discounts and scholarships are available?

Academic discounts (merit‑based) of 10–50% are often available based on GPA/IELTS, early‑bird applications, sports and creative achievements. In some programs, assistant positions are possible for master's students.

Can I transfer from another university?

Yes, most universities consider transfer applications with credit recognition from another university. Visa and sponsorship conditions will also need to be updated.

Can I work while studying?

Work on campus is usually allowed (up to about 15–20 hours per week). Off‑campus work depends on visa type and regulations — we will advise you on the current requirements for your program and visa type.

How long does a bachelor's degree take?

Usually 3–4 years depending on the program and course load. Engineering programs are often 4 years; business/IT — 3–4 years. Master's programs typically last 1–2 years.

Is an apostille/legalization of documents required?

For enrollment and visa processing, legalization or attestation of documents in the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) is often required. This depends on the country where the document was issued and the rules of the university.

Is on‑campus accommodation available?

Yes, many universities have their own residences and partner accommodation. It is important to book housing as soon as you receive the offer. Renting accommodation off campus is also possible.
